Scholarships & Funding Opportunities for Current Students

Honors College scholarships support students as they pursue ambitious academic and co-curricular goals. Current students in any of the Honors College programs may apply for additional funding opportunities that recognize achievement, leadership, and engagement in the Honors community.

Note: Students experiencing significant, documented financial hardship that may affect their ability to continue at Baylor are encouraged to apply for the Honors College Outstanding Student award. The award process considers not only academic excellence, but depth of Honors College involvement, and challenges overcome. However, primary support in these circumstances should arise from One Stop Financial Services. Students are also invited to search for additional sources of support using Scholarship Universe.

Study Abroad Scholarships

The Honors College offers opportunities for students to apply for scholarship support for winter or summer study abroad programs associated with Honors College faculty.

Honors College Outstanding Student Scholarship Award

This award recognizes exceptional students for their academic achievement, service, and contributions to the Honors College. These one-time awards are competitive and provide financial support to help students continue their academic journey.

HRC Leadership Scholarship

The HRC Leadership Scholarship is open to any returning resident of the residential college serving on the community's leadership team. Second-year students who are awarded a scholarship will receive up to $1,000. Third and fourth-year students will receive up to $2,000.

Current students who are engaged in research may apply for Honors College Travel Stipends.

Getterman Scholars

Current Getterman Scholars may request support for study abroad, research internships, or mission trip experiences. Note this is not for prospective Getterman Scholars.

Getterman Fellows

Current Getterman Fellows may apply for support for a mission trip experience or study abroad. Note: This is not for prospective students.

Start a Travel Request

Request Honors College travel support for study abroad, mission trips, internships, research, or other approved programs. Students, including Getterman Fellows and Getterman Scholars, with approved travel plans can request Honors College support with travel arrangements.
