Application Process
Who Should Apply?
The Ethics major is designed for students who:
- Have a record of academic excellence (typically a GPA of 3.8+ and scores above 1450 SAT, 33 ACT, or 100 CLT)
- Enjoy discussing big ideas and complex questions
- Thrive in small seminar-style classes
- Want to engage in interdisciplinary study across the humanities and social sciences
- Are motivated to pursue original research
How to Apply
Students interested in the Ethics major must first apply to Baylor University through goBAYLOR.
The Elite Academic Programs application opens each fall on September 1. Once you have applied to Baylor, select Ethics through the University's Elite Academic Programs application in goBAYLOR. There, you will find application requirements, essay prompts, important deadlines, and additional information about the program.
Students admitted to Ethics will automatically be enrolled in the Bachelor of Philosophy (B.Phil.) degree program and admitted to the Honors Program.
