Pre-Health in Dublin
Baylor Pre-Health in Dublin gives pre-health students the opportunity to spend a semester studying science and other coursework at University College Dublin while experiencing life in one of Europe’s most dynamic cities. Designed specifically for students progressing through Baylor’s pre-health curriculum, the program allows participants to continue key prerequisite coursework while gaining the perspective that comes from living and studying abroad.

Minimum GPA: 3.3
Minimum Classification: Sophomore (24 credit hours completed at Baylor)
The program is open to pre-health students who will be second-semester sophomores at the time of departure.
Academic Experience
Students enroll in four courses while studying at University College Dublin. The program includes required science coursework that keeps students progressing through Baylor’s pre-health curriculum, along with the opportunity to select additional courses from UCD’s course offerings.

For their third and fourth courses, students may select from eligible offerings in the University College Dublin course catalog. Course selections are subject to prerequisites and Baylor approval.

Before departure, students must have completed the following courses with a grade of B or better:
- BIO 1305 & 1105 – Modern Concepts of Bioscience & Laboratory
- BIO 1306 & 1106 – Modern Concepts of Bioscience & Laboratory
- CHE 1301 & 1101 – Basic Principles of Modern Chemistry & General Chemistry Laboratory I
- CHE 1302 & 1102 – Basic Principles of Modern Chemistry & General Chemistry Laboratory II
- CHE 3331 – Organic Chemistry I
- BIO 2306 – Genetics
