Annual Renewal as a Getterman Scholar
To remain in good standing as a Getterman Scholar, the students must:
- Be enrolled and active in an Honors College program, while maintaining a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher throughout their undergraduate studies.
- A probation process will be applied to those who fail to meet this minimum requirement
- Getterman Scholars are expected to be leaders in the HRC who are service-oriented, including strong participation in the Getterman Fellows program and assisting at Getterman Scholars Day and other recruitment events. Getterman Fellows activities include a welcome dinner, monthly meetings, spring retreat, service projects, and mentorship opportunities.
- Getterman Scholars are expected to use their summers for study abroad, scholarly activity, and mission trips.
- Only those Getterman Scholars who reside in the Honors Residential College and utilize university dining are eligible for housing and food benefits.
- Support is provided for 8 semesters of undergraduate coursework. Graduate coursework is not supported.
