Getterman Fellows will receive financial support designed to enrich their college experience. These benefits open doors to leadership development, global learning, service opportunities, and professional growth, ensuring Fellows graduate with a well-rounded foundation for impact in their profession and community.
All Getterman Fellows are guaranteed acceptance to live in the Honors Residential College (HRC), a vibrant residential community that supports academic excellence, spiritual growth, and meaningful friendship.
Getterman Fellows will join a close-knit cohort committed to authentic friendships, spiritual formation, and academic excellence. This experience is designed to help them grow as Christian leaders intellectually and spiritually while making a tangible impact on the Baylor campus, their communities and the world.
What to Expect:
- Monthly Gatherings
Engage in meaningful discussions, leadership development, and fellowship with peers and mentors. The spring semester also includes a weekend retreat designed for deeper connection and reflection. - Service Opportunities
Partner with local organizations and participate in projects that strengthen Waco and surrounding communities. - Mentorship & Formation
Work closely with Honors College faculty and staff who guide their academic journey and vocational discernment. - Signature Experiences
Access funding for mission trips, study abroad programs, and research presentations to broaden their perspective and deepen opportunities for learning. - Leadership Development
Take on roles that allow upper-division students to mentor incoming Fellows and help shape future cohorts.
