Community Partners
Throughout their time in the program, Micah Scholars will work in close partnership with Waco Family Medicine, gaining valuable experience alongside healthcare professionals who serve the local community. In addition, they will have the opportunity to apply for funding toward serving in Kenya through the nonprofit Straw to Bread and to continue their formation through educational offerings provided by the Christian Community Health Fellowship.

Christian Community Health Fellowship is a community of Christian healthcare professionals across the country committed to living out the gospel through healthcare among marginalized communities. Micah Scholars who produce scholarly work pertaining to missional medicine can apply for partial funding to attend CCHF’s annual conference as seniors.

Baylor in Argentina
Baylor in Argentina offers Spanish immersion, medical shadowing, service learning, and cultural exploration in Mendoza, giving students the chance to live with Argentine families, study at Universidad Nacional de Cuyo, and gain academic and professional experiences that expand their global perspective.
