Mission Trip Support
Scholars may receive support for one mission trip experience
Students must choose from Baylor Honors College faculty-led mission trips (With the exception of Straw to Bread, externally-arranged trips are not supported.)
Scholars may choose to participate in one of the following Honors College-supported mission trips with all programmatic costs covered:
- Honors College in Greece
- Honors College in Costa Rica
- Straw-to-Bread, Kenya
- Any future mission trip sponsored directly by the Honors College
Students must initiate an online application for support to document plans and related support needs.
After approval, a link to a travel request form will be provided, if needed. The student will work with Honors College staff to arrange for travel. Honors College staff will work with university travel booking partners to identify the most economical flight to the destination of interest. If the student prefers to forgo booking with the university, and book their own travel arrangement, they are welcome to do so. However, the cost of the travel options presented by Honors College staff will be the maximum amount reimbursed for the cost of the flight.
Additional mission trip-related policies
Deposits for mission trips are handled by interdepartmental agreements, rather than being paid by the student and then reimbursed.
Some mission trip costs may need to be self-paid, but reimbursements will not be processed until after the trip has occurred.
Students who matriculated before Fall 2026 may select from any Baylor-led mission trip, but should work closely with the Honors College Associate Dean for Undergraduate Studies as soon as possible to discuss potential challenges
