Orientation Guide
Summer 2026 Orientation is here! Below are some resources and opportunities to connect:
Advising Overview
Summer Advising
1. A BIC Advisor will send you an invitation for an appointment once you have confirmed your acceptance into the BIC program. We will advise you based on your degree and major along with the BIC requirements, which replace most of your general education requirements in your degree. First semester BIC classes include:
- BIC 1112 The Examined Life I
- BIC 1313 The World of Rhetoric
- BIC 1314 World Cultures I
2. BIC Advisors will also advise BIC students who are also in the Honors Program and/or University Scholars. You will only need to see your BIC advisor to be fully advised for your major, Honors requirements, and BIC courses.
3. Check out the Undergraduate Catalog for more information about degree plans.
