Katelyn Jaynes, Ph.D.

  • Senior Academic Advisor
  • Lecturer

Katelyn Jaynes, Ph.D., graduated in May 2020 from the University of Connecticut with her Ph.D. in English. She studies medieval literature and is interested in the ways that normative models of society respond to times of crisis.  She comes to advising in the BIC by way of teaching in the program. The question "How do we live good lives in a complex world?" is the base of her advising philosophy, and the question underlies all of her interactions with students and others at Baylor. In her spare time, Dr. Jaynes enjoys knitting and sewing, reading books (especially horror and rom-coms - truly we contain multitudes), and playing with her dog Milo.
