Editorial Staff
- Read submitted essays and prepare detailed written evaluations.
- Participate in making final decision for inclusion based on evaluations.
- Work one-on-one with authors to handle revisions/corrections.
- Proofread final manuscripts.
- The Chief Editor will coordinate all these activities, oversee and train the staff, and prepare a schedule of deadlines for each semester.
- Successful candidates for this staff will have exceptional writing and editing skills, enthusiasm for the mission and vision of The Pulse, and excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.
Officer Staff
Create signs, fliers, e-mails, etc. to publicize calls for papers, publication dates, and other pertinent deadlines.
Target and communicate with specific audiences of students and professors to solicit papers for publication.
Finalize the artwork for the yearly publication and use publishing software to generate an electronic copy of the annual edition.
Successful candidates for this staff will have prior Pulse experience, exceptional interpersonal and networking skills, creativity, and enthusiasm for the mission and vision of The Pulse.
