Adding or Changing Your Degree, Major, or Honors College Opportunity
Changing to a Elite Academic Program Degree/Major
If you want to change your major to an Elite Academic Program (EAPA), you will need to apply, be accepted, and then confirm your new program selection in goBAYLOR. Once you confirm a new EAPA degree or major, the system will automatically update your record to reflect this choice. If you previously confirmed a different EAPA program, your earlier selection will show as declined, and your degree or major will be replaced with your new selection.
Please note: The Baylor Interdisciplinary Core (BIC) and Honors Program (HP) are not majors. Changing your degree/major does not affect your participation in one of these programs. Both BIC and HP work in partnership with all Baylor majors and with each other to enrich students’ academic experiences across disciplines.
Changing to a Non-Elite Academic Program Major
If the major you want to change is not part of an Elite Academic Program Application (EAPA):
- Email the Office of Admissions at admissions@baylor.edu or contact your assigned admissions counselor.
- The Admissions team will update your record for you.
Adding an Elite Academic Program to your Application
If you’re interested in adding another opportunity to the Elite Academic Programs Application, you can easily add to your existing application in your goBAYLOR account.
Elite Academic Programs (EAPA) include:
- University Scholars (UNSC)
- Great Texts of the Western Tradition (GTX)
- Bachelor of Philosophy degree (B.Phil.)
- Honors Program (HP)
- Baylor Interdisciplinary Core (BIC)
- Baylor Business Fellows (BBF)
- Baylor Business Scholars (BBS)
To add one of these to your EAPA:
- Log in to your goBAYLOR account.
- Go to the “Elite Academic Programs” section.
- Select the program you’d like to add.
- If you’ve already applied, the supplemental section for that program will appear automatically.
- Complete and submit any additional materials.
