Adam Crone

Adam is a University Scholars alumnus from Eagle Pass, Texas, who concentrated in Medical Humanities, Biology, and Business Administration and graduated last spring. During his time at Baylor, he lived in Alexander Hall during his first year and has since set his sights on attending medical school. On campus, Adam was involved in Alpha Epsilon Delta as the Mission Trip Chair, the Behavioral Medicine Lab, DeBakey Scholars, and Hillis Scholars. 

His favorite reading list book was Hippocratic Medical Writings, and he pursued research through Baylor and as a Vanderbilt UCRIP intern, focusing on stress physiology, mitochondrial biology, and the intersections of religion, spirituality, and medicine in his honors thesis, working closely with faculty mentors including Dr. Jeff Levin, Dr. Walter Mathews, Dr. Jeff Forsse, Dr. Tomas Chapman-Lopez, Dr. Annie Ginty, and Dr. Antentor Hinton Jr.

Beyond his academics, his service included medical mission work in South Africa and volunteering with The Cove Waco, Salvation Army, and Shepherd’s Heart. As a triathlete and member of the Baylor Men’s Choir, Adam encouraged new students to embrace opportunities to explore, be patient with progress, and seek support from the community, sharing this advice: “Find one or two passions that spark your interest and dive into them wholeheartedly.”
