Extracurricular Experiences
Examined Life Scholars: I spent a few weeks this summer as a student mentor for the Examined Life Scholars program, which partners Baylor students with local Waco ISD high school students. We spend a few weeks in seminars with them and then help them through the college application process in monthly one-on-one meetings throughout the school year!
Baylor Philanthropy and Public Service Department: Getting involved in the Philanthropy and Public Service department at Baylor led me to participate in one of my favorite extracurriculars at Baylor -- during a course I took called "Learning for the World," we got to spend time assisting in teaching English as a Second Language classes at McLennan Community College. It was such an incredible experience, and I would highly suggest getting in touch with them to discover other opportunities for community involvement!
