Caitlyn Beebe

Caitlyn is a University Scholars alumna from Baton Rouge, Louisiana, who concentrated in Economics, Journalism (minoring in News Editorial), and Political Science, while also participating in the BIC, and graduated last spring. During her time at Baylor, she lived in North Russell Hall during her first year and has since set her sights on attending law school. On campus, Caitlyn was involved in Ratio Christi (a Christian apologetics student organization) and served as a Global Politics Neighborhood Leader at North Russell Hall. Her favorite reading list book was Macbeth by Shakespeare, and she was interested in writing her thesis either about the economic impacts of paid parental leave policies or the political impacts of how journalists write about economic issues.

Reflecting on her time at the university, Caitlyn shares this advice with new students: “Use your time wisely--which does include devoting time to relaxing and having fun! College is about academics, but it's also about making new connections, being involved on campus, and growing in your faith.”
