Dami Ogunbiyi
- Economics and Data Science
Dami Ogunbiyi is a Junior University Scholar studying Economics and Data Science at Baylor University, where she maintains a 4.0 GPA as a member of the Honors College and is on track to graduate in December 2027. Her coursework spans microeconomic and macroeconomic theory, econometrics, and data structures, and she works across Python, SQL, T-SQL, and R to translate economic questions into quantitative analysis.
Dami's project work reflects a strong applied-statistics foundation: she built an interactive R Shiny application modeling housing prices across Boulder County using multiple regression, residual diagnostics, and bootstrap resampling, and developed a supply chain and inventory analytics platform using Python and SQL Server across a simulated multi-hub distribution network. She also placed second at the Wacode 2026 hackathon for a resource-allocation platform built in 24 hours.
Professionally, Dami has served as an Operations & Logistics Assistant at Baylor University and a Quantitative Fellow at the TakeOff Institute, and the Guilford County Public Defender's Office as a Legal Intern. On campus, she is involved in the Honors College Mentor program and the Adobe Student Ambassador program. Outside of academics, Dami enjoys playing Sudoku and reading books adapted into movies
