The Fulbright Study/Research Award provided funding for a Master's Degree in Medival Norse Language & Literature at the University of Iceland.
At Baylor
David's thesis was entitled "The Widowed City: Gildas and the End of Roman Britain" and allowed him to combine his expertise in Latin, Roman history, and medieval history and literature.
