Grace Denton
- Concentrations: English, History, Classics
Grace is a Senior University Scholar from Fairfax Station, Virginia concentrating in English, History, and Classics. Grace lived in Penland Hall during her first year at Baylor and plans to work in politics after graduation before being completely devoted to her family. On campus, Grace is involved with Tri Delta and works as a UNSC Office Assistant.
Grace’s favorite reading list book was Fear and Trembling by Soren Kierkegaard. Her thesis is on the problematic modern-day perceptions of motherhood and how exemplars from classical literature and the Bible display the holy calling that it is. Grace has worked with faculty mentors Dr. Corey and Dr. Heckenlively.
To the new students Grace says: “University Scholars is one the main reasons I chose Baylor and it has continued to play a huge part in my amazing experience here, and I already know that it will go on to benefit me for the rest of my life. Take it all in - meet with your professors one on one, pick reading list books that interest you, and find something you are deeply passionate about to pursue through your thesis! ”
