Haley Williams

  • UNSC Student Mentor

Haley is a junior University Scholar from Pflugerville, Texas concentrating in Forensic Science, Creative Writing, and Korean. Haley lived in North Russell during her first year at Baylor and aims to become a published author and work abroad after graduation. On campus, Haley is involved in FILSA, FILSS, and is a Trailblazer Scholar, Global Scholar, Engage Fellow, and a member of the Creative Writing Club.

Haley’s favorite reading list book was Iliad by Homer. Halley is interested in developing a creative thesis in the form of a novel with research on publishing trends and current interests within certain genres. She also hopes to write one chapter from this work in Korean to explore the grammar more and develop her skills in both that language and her writing. Haley has worked with faculty mentors Arna Hemenway and Jacob Shores.

To the new students Haley says: “Don't be nervous to ask questions! There is someone out there who has gone through the same situation you are in and is willing to help!”
