Hana Jang

Hana is a Senior University Scholar from Rocklin, California concentrating in Biology, Biochemistry, and Economics. Hana lived in Memorial Hall during her first year at Baylor and plans to attend medical school after graduation. On campus, Hana is involved in the BMSA, AED, Min Lab, and serves as an ECO 2306 Tutor.
Hana’s favorite reading list book was Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen. Hana’s thesis is related to the field of health economics. Hana has worked with faculty mentors Dr. Hunt and Dr. Moore.
To the new students Hana says: “I would like to advise all incoming students to be open to trying new clubs and organizations and exploring everything that Baylor has to offer!”
Extracurricular Experiences:
Hospice care: I served as a hospice care volunteer over the summer, where I visited two patients twice a week to offer companionship and spend time with them.
Research lab: I study DNA repair, specifically nucleotide excision repair pathways, with the Min lab. This is approximately a 12-15 hour commitment per week.
