Maddie Peacock

Maddie is a Junior University Scholar from Waco, Texas concentrating in International Studies, Communications, and German. Maddie lives in Memorial Hall at Baylor and plans to pursue International Nonprofit Work after graduation. On campus, Maddie serves on the HRC College Council’s Spiritual Life Committee. 

Maddie’s favorite reading list book was Cicero’s On Friendship. Her thesis is on intercultural communication in nonprofit organizations. Maddie has worked with faculty mentors Dr. Jennifer Good, Dr. Katherine Ann Rush, Dr. Andrew Wisely, Dr. Jacob Ford, and Dr. Matthew Anderson.

To the new students Maddie says: “I’m so excited to get to know students better as they begin their college years! Remember to breathe and prioritize becoming the kind of person you want to be rather than achieving an endless list of things you ‘should’ be accomplishing.”

Extracurricular Experiences

Baylor in Germany: I traveled to Germany with Baylor’s German department for intensive language training and extensive cultural study. I loved this opportunity to engage with the history, culture, and current realities in Germany.
