The Award
The Shepherd Consortium (SHECP) is a non-profit organization that works in association with dozens of universities across the country to study the complex issue of poverty, as well as work to address it. As a Shepherd Scholar, Ryan participated in a summer internship in Roanoke, VA, doing drug addiction recovery work and homeless ministry work at a homeless shelter.
At Baylor
At Baylor, Ryan was a member of the Student Government and the HRC Council. He was also a Willam Carey Cran Scholar.
