Sofia Rhorer

Sofia is a Junior University Scholar from Mesa, Arizona concentrating in Psychology, Child and Family Studies, History, and English. Sofia currently lives in Memorial Hall at Baylor and plans to pursue a PhD in school psychology after graduation. On campus, Sofia is a member of Alpha Delta Pi and a Community Leader in the HRC. 

Sofia’s favorite reading list book was Beloved by Toni Morrison. She plans to write her thesis within the field of child and family studies. Sofia has worked with faculty mentors Dr. Ginger Hanchey, Dr. Mickey Langlais, and Dr. Scott Moore

To the new students Sofia says: “The University Scholars program is amazing and there are so many amazing professors affiliated with it! Take the time to get to know them because they are so excited to invest in their students.”

Extracurricular Experiences

Research studies: worked as a research assistant the past two summers and contributed to a soon-to-be-published article.
