UNSC Application Instructions for Current Students

Thank you for your interest in University Scholars. To apply to the program as a current Baylor freshman, please follow the instructions below.  

1. Email university_scholars@baylor.edu responses to these four questions:  
   1. After researching the Honors College opportunities, explain how the program(s) to which you are applying (BIC program, Honors Program, and/or University Scholars) will enhance your education at Baylor. Suggested Length: 100-150 words
   2. A highlight of the University Scholars program is the opportunity to design your own course of study. If you could create your own curriculum, what areas of study would be included and why? Suggested Length: 100 words
   3. Describe a cultural experience you have had and explain how it impacted you. This could be through travel, class, relationships, etc. Suggested length: 250300 words  d. Describe any important honors or awards you earned in high school; focus especially on any that relate to your interest in research and/or in study connecting different academic subjects. Suggested Length: 150 word limit
2. Ask a current Baylor professor to write you a letter of recommendation. The letter can be sent to university_scholars@baylor.edu.
3. At the top of your application please write out your name, ID number, the areas of concentration you wish you pursue, and the name of the Baylor professor you have asked to write your letter of recommendation.  

All students who earn above a 3.6 GPA are eligible for review. Please let us know if you have any questions. We look forward to reviewing your application.
